Un entrepreneur, c’est 80% de psychologie et de qualités humaines et 20% de compétences techniques ! Autrement dit, nous avons donc intérêt à assurer au niveau de nos relations sociales et de notre état d’esprit pour mener à bien nos projets 😉

Pour traiter ce sujet, j’ai décidé de vous parler du livre best-seller de Dale Carnegie Comment se faire des amis ? Ce livre s’adresse à toutes les personnes qui cherchent à développer leurs qualités humaines et leurs relations sociales. C’est donc un livre que l’on peut classer dans la catégorie du développement personnel.

Un livre culte

Pour ceux qui ont des notions de PNL (Programmation Neuro Linguistique), vous retrouverez des principes similaires. Dale Carnegie y ajoute également des éléments de communication interpersonnelle, de leadership, de management et de prise de parole en public.

Je ne procéderai pas à un résumé scolaire. Je vous livrerai simplement les meilleurs conseils du livre. C’est parti 🙂

1. Gagnez la sympathie des gens

  1. Intéressez-vous sincèrement aux autres : posez des questions, reformulez et relancez.
  2. Ayez le sourire : c’est une arme très puissante.
  3. Souvenez-vous que le nom d’un homme est pour lui le mot le plus agréable et le plus important de tout le vocabulaire : interpellez votre interlocuteur par son prénom.
  4. Sachez écouter attentivement, encouragez les autres à parler d’eux-mêmes : nous n’avons pas deux oreilles et une seule bouche pour rien 😉
  5. Parlez à votre interlocuteur de ce qu’il aime, ce qui l’intéresse, ce qui lui tient au cœur : ne parlez pas de ce ce que vous voulez vous.
  6. Faites-lui sincèrement sentir son importance

2. Amener les autres à penser comme vous

  1. Le seul moyen de remporter la victoire dans une discussion, c’est de l’éviter : si votre interlocuteur impose son point de vue, vous « perdez » et si vous imposez le vôtre vous « perdez » aussi car votre interlocuteur sera mal à l’aise. Donc évitez la discussion.
  2. Respectez les opinions de votre adversaire : ne lu dites jamais qu’il a tort.
  3. Si vous avez tort, admettez-le.
  4. Commencez à parler avec douceur.
  5. Posez des questions qui amènent automatiquement des réponses affirmatives : des études ont montré que vous augmenterez vos chances de recevoir un « Oui » si vous avez amené votre interlocuteur à répondre « Oui » à vos questions précédentes.
  6. Laissez parler l’autre tout à son aise : ne jugez pas ce qu’il vous dit.
  7. Laissez-lui croire que l’idée suggérée par vous vient de lui.
  8. Donnez aux autres la sympathie, la compréhension et même la compassion dont ils sont avides.
  9. Essayez sincèrement de voir les choses du point de vue de l’interlocuteur

3. Modifiez la conduite de votre interlocuteur

  1. Commencez donc par lui faire quelques louanges sincères
  2. Faites-lui remarquer ses erreurs ou ses défauts de manière indirecte
  3. Avant de la critiquer, prenez soin de faire ressortir vos propres fautes
  4. Ne lui donnez pas d’ordres directs. Suggérez. Posez des questions
  5. Épargnez son amour-propre. Laissez-lui sauver la face
  6. Rendez justice à ses efforts, louez ses plus légers progrès. Que vos encouragements soient généreux et sincères.
  7. Donnez-lui une belle réputation à mériter
  8. Encouragez-la. Que l’erreur semble facile à corriger, que la tâche paraisse aisée à accomplir
  9. Manœuvrez de telle sorte qu’elle soit heureuse de faire ce que vous proposez

Vous pouvez (devez) mettre en place ces principes dans votre vie privée et dans votre vie professionnelle si vous souhaitez améliorer vos qualités humaines et donc vos relations sociales. Vous pouvez d’ailleurs les utiliser lorsque vous prospectez de nouveaux clients ou pour vos rendez-vous commerciaux.
